1. Project site address.
2. Areas included in the scan.
3. What deliverables are you after from a 3D laser scan? i.e. point cloud, CAD plans, BIM model etc.
4. If you require CAD plans, what drawings do you need? i.e. floor plan, elevations, cross sections etc.
5. Any existing plans of the site that could help demonstrate areas to be scanned etc.

This is a very difficult question to answer as it will depend on a variety of factors that are not one-size-fits-all.

These are industry-leading 3D laser scanners made for operating at high accuracy for sustained periods in volatile environments found on most AEC project sites. If you are in need of a larger space to be scanned, then we can also offer scanners that reach a scanning distance of 400m.

We create a wide variety of plans and drawings to suit different clients wants and needs. Floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, sections etc. are just some of the plans and documentation we can provide. We have years of experience drafting and can provide anything from construction sets, interior design documentation, as-built plans, BIM and various 3D models.

We are yet to have a specific file format requested that we could not provide. Our 3D laser scanner captures the data as a point cloud and we then process this into a wide variety of formats for different applications. Whether you work in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Microstation, Civil 3D or anything else, we can provide a file to suit. Most commonly we provide files to suit Revit or CAD software but can work with you to find a solution to fit your process and workflow.

This entirely depends on the size of the building being scanned and the level of detail we need to capture. An open-plan kitchen/dining/living room area can be scanned in an hour. A full interior of a home will take half a day and a full interior and exterior of a residential home can take up to a day of scanning.
